The weight of the items listed in this schedule are estimated weights formulated by the Department of Public Works. Bulk items must be affixed with one sticker per twenty-five pounds or as per the schedule below. Up to 3 bulk waste items may be place out on your second scheduled trash pickup day. Stickers may be purchased either at Borough Hall, located at 601 Main Street, or at the Recycling Center, located at Railroad Avenue and 16th Avenue. Please note: The following recycled materials may be dropped off at the Recycling Center: Plastics (#1, #2, and #5), Glass Bottles and Jugs, Aluminum cans & foil (rinsed & clean), Magazines & Junk Mail, Colored Paper (placed in cans at Center), Cardboard & Brown Paper Bags (flattened), Office Paper & Computer Paper (white and off-white only) and Motor Oil (1 gallon per visit to Recycling Center). You can also bring brush yard waste (no leaves) that has been removed from your property. A current driver's license with your present address and/or any of the following items that must indicate a current date: Belmar tax or water bill, car registration or insurance card, household bill, I.e., telephone or cable. Upon arrival please be prepared to show the attendant proof of residency. The use of the facility is for Belmar residents only. The Belmar Recycling center is open and staffed 7 days a week with the exception of most observed holidays.
